We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and found out why Diwali is called the festival of light. We loved hearing how good triumphed over evil.
We made diya lamps using clay. When they were dry, we decorated them so they looked beautiful.
We read Little Red Riding Hood and decided what we would take to Granny to make her feel better.
We read The Three Little Pigs, made houses for them and tested the houses to see which was the best material in the wind and the rain. Bricks were the best for us, just like in the story (however, ours were lego).

Gingerbread people (and angels) came to our classroom, they left crumbs and we spotted them on the camera. We went round the whole school looking for them and asking everyone we met for help. We really enjoyed baking our own gingerbread too.
