Special Educational Needs (SEN)
All teaching staff and LSAs at Haylands Primary School are responsible for supporting children with additional needs. This approach in itself is supported by a core team within the school:
SENCo: Mrs J. Leftley
Emotional Needs Support: Mrs D.Phillips
Family Liaison Officer: Ms S. Kerr
Arrangements for handling complaints from parents of children with SEND
All staff at Haylands Primary School work with the needs of all children at the heart of all they do. Should the need for a complaint arise, parents should in the first instance discuss the matter with their child’s class teacher. Should the problem remain unresolved, the complaint should then be discussed with the following people in this order: SENDCo; Assistant Headteacher for phase; Headteacher; SEND Governor; Chair of Governors.
Every effort will be made to ensure a satisfactory resolution of the problem in as short a time as possible.
Reference to the complaints procedure [available in Policies on the website or in paper from the school office] should be made.
