Harvest at Haylands

We celebrated Harvest at Haylands with a whole school assembly.
Our grateful thanks go out to all the friends and families for their food donations, all of which will be passed on to the Isle of Wight Food Bank.

The Headteacher wrote:
“Thank you for your generosity with the harvest gifts of food. This will be very welcomed by the Island Food bank, enabling food to be distributed to those who are in need.”

We sang Harvest songs, Reception sang their choice ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’, while the older children read scripts and prayers, to remind us of the meaning of Harvest.

Year 1 helped pack away using their maths skills. 10 items to a bag; the children fill 33 bags.
