FOH – How the School Benefits

Haylands is blessed with a hard working band of volunteers who make up our Friends of Haylands team.
They organise and support a range of events which raises funds for ‘extras’ which the school might not otherwise benefit from.

Below are some examples of how the FOH team support the school and we are happy to acknowledge, with grateful thanks, their generosity in the giving of these valuable additional resources.

Our Friends of Haylands team have once again come to our rescue and funded the purchase of new digital cameras for the classes. Here the children are seen receiving the four new cameras.

The J-Rock team recently had a boost to their fund raising when FOH presented two of this year’s cast of “Food for Thought” with a £100 cheque. This will go towards the overall costs of travel, entrance fee, costumes and stage props.

A great big THANK YOU is sent to FOH from the whole J-Rock team.

‘Friends’ hosted the Haylands 2015 entertainment and Firework Display for the school, and Josh (below) won the draw to start the show and gained front row seats.

New resources received from the FOH were sets of waterproof clothing for the Reception Classes to encourage and continue with the children’s outdoor learning whatever the weather.

FOH MacMillan Cake Sale
On the 25th September 2015 Haylands took part in the Biggest Coffee Morning in which we raised a total of £491.00. Thank you to every one who made cake, bought cake, sold cake and ATE cake!!

FOH Buy Wet Play Games

IMG_5401Each Year Group has been given £50 (£100 across each Year) from FOH funds.
This money has been used to buy games for use during periods of wet weather when the children cannot go outside for their break times.
